Taking Time to Appreciate Your Local Priest

Bishop Murphy in his weekly Montana Catholic Register “Reflections” column encourages the laity throughout the diocese to acknowledge priests and pastors for their selfless service to the Church of Eastern Montana. He shares the following thought, “Priests today in the Church have often left family, friends, and a thousand and one other possible vocational options to serve God and the Church. They are confronted with loneliness, isolation, doubt, and innumerable questions. But they are also a gifted and a graced group of people. As priests in our diocese serve the People of God and make the Roman Catholic Church present through their ministry, I would ask you to be conscious of the gifts they share with all of us.”
