Thanksgiving

Bishop Murphy in his weekly Montana Catholic Register “Reflections” column comments on Thanksgiving and how this holiday shares much in common with the core mission and identity of the Catholic Church. He says, “In many ways, Thanksgiving reflects the basic celebration which is ours as Roman Catholics. The core of our faith which gives us an identity is centered in the Eucharist which means ‘thanksgiving.’ In many ways that which we celebrate this week as a national holiday is ours each time we come together in prayer as a believing community to break the bread and share the cup.”
