Why do Priests have grey hair?

The need for new vocations to the priesthood is the subject of Bishop Murphy’s weekly Montana Catholic Register “Reflections” column. He cites the rapidly increasing age of all current priests as a looming challenge for the Church of Eastern Montana. In his experience, “Again, the challenge must be faced of finding ways in which young men of high school age and college age might consider priesthood as a vocation. Studies of how young men develop interest in a vocation would emphasize the encouragement by families, the invitation and example of a priest to consider a vocation, and the vitality of parish life.”
