The Lenten Journey

Bishop Murphy, in his weekly Montana Catholic Register “Reflections” column, offers some thoughts on what his priorities are this Lenten season – how he intends to make the most of this annual journey. “It (Lent) is more than a time for giving up ‘things,’ or a time for more prayer; it is rather a much more radical challenge to conversion,” said Bishop Murphy. “Lent is a gift in the Church year which asks me to review my life and to renew the baptismal covenant I have with God. It is a time to experience the ongoing process of conversion and recommitment.”
