Tekawitha Conference Panel Presentation

Bishop Murphy gave a unique panel presentation at the Annual Tekawitha Conference. He asked and answered a series of three questions designed to strengthen and encourage the Native American people. The bishop borrowed heavily from a speech Pope John Paul II delivered to a gathering of Native American people in Canada for the answers to the questions. Bishop Murphy likened the Native American Tribes to a “Pilgrim People of God willing to take the journey to discover God as Father, Jesus as Brother, and the Holy Spirit as Sanctifier.”
