Welcome Address – RCIA Workshop

In his Welcome Address titled “Beginnings and Beyond,” Archbishop Murphy expresses his strong support for the many benefits of the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA). In his view, it is critical for RCIA to be a community event. “The RCIA cannot be and must not be the enterprise and commitment of a few,” said Archbishop Murphy. “The RCIA is not patented for private use. It is part of the public domain and must take place within the public assemblies of our people.”
