Come join the celebration

Archbishop Murphy uses his weekly Catholic Northwest Progress “In Joy and Hope” column to celebrate National Vocations Awareness Week. He reminds all readers of the urgent need for vocations to the priesthood. The priesthood is a life-giving and energizing experience as you are invited to be a part of peoples’ lives at some of the most important moments of human experience. “I believe I have been fortunate these past sixty years in having the gift of life,” said Archbishop Murphy. “I believe I have also had a unique opportunity to live out a vocation which has been a source of joy and hope for me.”
