Hopes for the new year

Archbishop Murphy in his traditional New Year’s Day edition of his weekly Catholic Northwest Progress “In Joy and Hope” column offers a series of wishes for what will transpire in 1993. He touches on a number of different topics including the parish community, evangelization, ministry, diversity and family life. “I believe we can learn much from the traditional new year’s resolutions,” said Archbishop Murphy. “They can be significant decisions, but they will never become a reality unless we invest ourselves to implement them.”
