Ordination to the Priesthood – Thomas Beattie and Richard Ward

Archbishop Murphy ordained Thomas Beattie and Richard Ward to the priesthood in St. James Cathedral in Seattle, WA. He described the ordination of priests as an important moment in the life of the Christian community. “Priests have unique gifts which build up the Body of Christ just as all baptized people have gifts that do the same,” said Archbishop Murphy. As was his tradition, the archbishop extended his most sincere thanks to family, friends and educators who played a role in nurturing these two vocations to the priesthood.
