Growth Through Ministry – An Experience of Mutuality

In his address to the 13th Annual Conference of the National Apostolate with Mentally Retarded Persons, Bishop Murphy provides his thoughts and reflections on how “growth” and “ministry” are complementary and mutually enriching experiences. He says, “Yes there are strong determining factors which affect our growth as disciples of Christ and the ministry we share. These factors would include an awareness of the one who ministers, the motivation for the ministry and the person or persons ministered to.”
