Goodbye – Please Pray For Me!

In his final “Reflections” column as Bishop of Great Falls-Billings, MT for the June 1987 edition of The Harvest, Bishop Murphy bids farewell to the Church of Eastern Montana. He was appointed by Pope John Paul II as the Coadjutor Archbishop of Seattle. The bishop looked back and shared a series of memories in his final column. In closing, he offered the following observation, “My thoughts are rather on what I have experienced here in Eastern Montana and the real grief that is involved in leaving and saying ‘Goodbye!’ Thank you for all you have shared with me!”
